Review: This place is special in more ways than one. First of all, it's located in the heart of the historic downtown, right near Parque Bolivar. A slightly "rougher" area than others but also filled with atmosphere, character, and local flavor. It also boasts a dynamic owner who, along with her brother, has created some incredible food products that you'll in fact find distributed in other shops around the city - especially their fantastic, fantaaaastic ice creams made from oats - and they feature some fantastic, filling dishes for reasonable prices. They also sell a decent variety of vegan meats and other essentials. While the restaurant is indeed about 98% vegan, it is worth noting that some of the soy cheese (the 'lonchitos') do contain casein, and honey is used in some other products. With that in mind, it's easy to have a different vegan dish here every day of the week and walk out happy every time - and preferably with a different flavor of v ice-cream cone. Part of the new vegetarian movement that is really making this city a veg destination in its own right. I'd recommend coming here as your first stop when you get to the city, it's that good!
