Review: I had the Cooked Vegan Bake-up, a plate with small portions of scrambled tofu, home-baked beans, mushrooms, tomato, mixed-greens salad, one large vegan sausage and two small pieces of rye bread, for £7.95. Overlooking the canal is nice – it’s a sunny day, so many people are lounging by the canal and strolling the market booths. Flyer says: Optimum nutrition, pure vegetarian menu, raw/living foods dishes, unique ‘free from’ hot mains, superfood salad range, seasonal soups and deli treats, all day breakfast bakepups, low GI raw vegan ice creams, gourmet nutrition raw cakes, organic juice bar, superfood smoothies, home-brewed kombucha, vegan milkshakes, medicinal mushroom chai, tonic herbal elixirs. Wow. Wish it was totally vegan.
