Respond to Review of Aux Vivres
Review: This is my pick of a resto when eating out in Montreal. I love their veggie bowls which are filled with veggies and not rice. Sometimes I wonder if they forgot the rice, but it is just at the bottom, masked by the veggies. The rice itself is actually very nice, too. The Thai bowl is my favourite but the Macro and Buddha ones are also very good. Sadly they only make the Dragon bowl over the lunch hour but you can substitute any of the sauces for an extra $1. I had their sampler spread platter where I marvelled at their vegelox which was fabulous. It does remind me of smoked salmon! I also really liked their blt wrap with coconut bacon. Their mumbai plate with the chickpea curry is ok, although nothing I can't make at home. Actually, I feel that way about most of their dishes, but it doesn't detract from how great they taste. While the place can be really packed, I appreciate their fast service. It is a shame the place is so noisy, though.
