Review: Great cajun food: several excellent dishes, many good dishes; there are sufficient vegetarian options to satisy my vegetarian friend (who actually requests to go there!); dinner portions are very generous (be prepared for leftovers!), and some of the appetizers or side-orders are big enough and/or good enough to be main dishes. menu available at (We have not explored the "vegan friendliness".) Two floors of dining, well-stocked bars, nice selection of beers and wines, Happy Hour 4-6, delicious desserts (that are NOT veg-friendly however). Background music is skewed to New Orleans, and the place can be noisy when busy; nice decor. I've ordered "to-go" from Maxie's several times, no problem; they have friendly and helpful wait-staff. It's a "first-come-first-served" restaurant; they do not accept reservations (except possibly for large groups), and there can be waits at the door, so go early or go late; and sometimes phonecalls get shuffled to voicemail -- but hey, it's a busy and popular place!! Great for "pre-show" meals or "after-show" dining/drinks.
