Respond to Review of Sweetpea Baking Company
Review: My notorious sweet tooth has a home! I visited Sweetpea Baking Company on the first day of my first visit to PDX. I got a piece of double layered raspberry cake, a mini strawberry cheesecake, and a HUGE double stuffed chocolate chip cookie. The desserts here are so delicious, there's no indication whatsoever that they are vegan. I'm going to see if they can deliver a thousand miles away. I also ordered tuno and faux-chicken sandwiches. I had a road trip the next day and let me tell you, they were lifesavers because I surely would have starved without them! Besides being lifesavers, they were both very good, and they traveled well. The tuno did not taste extra "fishy" like some of the other tuno-type sandwiches that I've had elsewhere. There was a seitan potato salad sandwich that I wanted to get for the airplane ride back... Next time. The day after the road trip, I was back in Portland and was fortunate enough to snag some of their fresh Saturday morning doughnuts. Unbelievable! So fresh, so delicious, and vegan! The owner and the staff were very warm, nice, and welcoming... Just as sweet as the sweeties! Long live SBC!
