Respond to Review of Taj Mahal Cuisine of India
Review: After circling the block for the third time, I finally found the hidden entrance to the Taj Mahal. Located in an old strip mall, the outside is not impressive. I was sure I was in for another trip to an Indian restaurant with a single vegetarian item on the menu and waiters unclear on the concept of vegan. I have never been so wrong in my life! There are many vegetarian options and a whole separate vegan menu. The waiter is most likely your cook and if something isn't vegan or veg they are more than happy to make adjustments to fit your diet. The owner is more knowledgeable about vegan/veg diets than most people I know. You immediately feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door and the food will blow you away. The owner bent over backwards to make sure everything was just how we wanted it and never once did we feel like we were asking too much. This visit stands out as one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. I was lamenting the fact that there weren't any vegan desert options when the owner informed me he had just added Mango Soy Ice Cream; it was so new he hadn't redone the menu yet. Pressed for time, I wasn't able to try it. Too bad, I'll just have to go back again! So circle the block again and come hungry. Don't miss this one no matter how far you have to come!
