Respond to Review of Cafe Blossom - Upper West Side
Review: Had a very enjoyable birthday lunch with my son at Cafe Blossom. Started with Mimosas and Bimosas (made from grape and grapefruit juice - delicious). We all really enjoyed the appetizers: Black Eyed Pea Cakes and Mushroom Cigars, along with the Butternut Squash soup. Two of us had the Southern Seitan Sandwich, which was a great combination of Spiced seitan with caramelized onions, avocado and chipotle aioli on foccacia bread. The only down side, it was too much bread for the sandwich. My son had the Rosemary Walnut Crusted Seitan, which he loved every bite of. My wife had the Fettucini Alfredo, which was tasty but could have been a little more flavorful and little on the dry side, but not enough to complain about, just probably won't get again. Service was prompt and friendly. Directions from the restaurants web site were very useful especially with the weekend trains running on different schedules.
