Review: Spain is behind the UK with regards to veggie fine dining as you can find here. veggie places tend to be whole food, wiegh your own places similar to that found here 10+years ago ( im not knocking that but dont expect the same refignment of food) Espigna can be a little tricky to find but we got it first attempt. its not set on the street but at a rightangle but well signposted on the street. its next to a hairdressers if that helps. Cafe style, cool and fresh interior - fen shui due to waterfountain and crystals hanging in dead spaces. went as a couple, ordered menu of the day ( 9.50 4courses or 6.50 3 courses) at least three options for each course. I had house salad - large bowl mixed salad including carrots and red cabbage, simple but lovely. rocqufort croquettes ( 5 ) then ordered natural yog. order got mixed up and I got something similar - a formented live milk that is much sharper than natural yog but I thought it was just their variation. was a good experience because i had never had it-learned something new. freshly made fruit/veg juices to your own mix. would recommend would go back should we be there again. waitress very polite and explained my 'new desert' well enough for me to google it later. drinks a bit expensive. art work nice - local artists groups i think so changes regulary.
