Respond to Review of Crossroads Coffee House
Review: I discovered this cute little cafe as a vegetarian. Going back as a vegan, it's a whole different experience. It's a wonderful local spot with artwork on the walls, crafts and souveniers for sale on the bookcases. The soy lattes are the best around. They serve organic and fair trade coffee. If you're a vegetarian and are vacationing in the area, I'd definitely put this on your list. They have a swiss, havarti and cheddar grill cheese, a grilled tomato and cheddar sandwich, egg salad sandwich, a veggie sandwich with cream cheese, cucumber, lettuce & tomato, veggie quesadilla, veggie wrap and mango smoothies. For breakfast there are omelettes, buckwheat pancakes with blueberries, bagel and cream cheese, etc. As a vegan, well, I can't imagine eating cheese now so I really wouldn't set foot in here for a meal simply b/c there are no menu options. Don't get me wrong, the owner and staff are a delight and very accomodating. And I'm a pretty flexible vegan, always willing to tweak menu items to "veganize" somthing for myself. There are simply not enough vegan items to work with here. You'd be looking at a cucumber, lettuce and tomato sandwich.
