Respond to Review of Il Margutta RistorArte
Review: Nicely decorated place, but expensive. I went there for lunch and dinner. Lunch is buffet style. The chef came out and told me which dishes were vegan (about 50%). Everything is very vegetable based (no complete proteins here!), but high quality. There was a vegan chocolate and nut cake. For dinner they have a separate vegan menu. I had the vegan tempura plate, and the crispy tofu, kamut bread and vegetables appetizer. The tofu was only two tiny pieces but it was good (like agedashi tofu). The tempura was good, with interesting things like zuchini flower and fennel. The vegetarian menu seemed to be mostly traditional italian food, but with the meat simply replaced by cheese (ex. canteloupe and cheese instead of proscuitto, and pastas with cheese).
