    Instructions

    Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
    Divide and shape mixture into 4 patties.
    Cook in a lightly greased 10 minutes.
    Serve as is plain, or with a sauce of your choice, or on burger buns.

    Ingredients

    454 gram (1 pound) firm tofu, finely mashed
    1 onion, finely chopped
    30 ml (2 tablespoon) beaten egg replacer
    1 red pepper, chopped
    5 ml (1 teaspoon) margarine such as Nuvel or another brand
    30 ml (2 tablespoon) whole wheat flour
    250 ml (1 cup) raw oatmeal
    30 ml (2 tablespoon) sunflower seeds, chopped
    15 ml (1 tablespoon) soy sauce
    1 pinch each of dried thyme, basil, and oregano
    ground pepper and salt to taste
    4 whole wheat burger buns
