Lentil Burger

    Instructions

    Boil lentils until starting to soften. Drain and let cool.
    In a cooking pan heat onion, mushroom, walnut, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper in olive oil. Cook for a couple minutes, then let cool.
    Stir in cilantro, bread crumbs, and lentils. Then scoop out entire mixture into a bowl.
    Form mixture into individual burger patties, and grill over medium heat in a frying pan.

    Ingredients

    1 cup dried lentils
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 cup finely chopped onion
    4 cloves garlic
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper
    1 cup finely chopped walnuts
    1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
    1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
    1/2 cup bread crumbs

    Serving Size

    4 to 6 patties
