Ingredients
4 large apples (variety works well), chopped
1/4 cup evaporated cane juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cardomom
1 cup muscovado brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup barley oats (or rolled oats)
1/2 cup butter substitute of choice
Instructions
Preheat oven 350F degrees. In a large bowl combine cut butter, oats, muscovado sugar, and flour into really small pea size chunks. Set aside. Chop apples, toss with spices and sugar in a medium bowl. Lightly grease large baking dish, fill with apples, and top with oat mixture. Bake 40-50 minutes, and serve with soy cream while slightly warm.
I can\'t imagine how a half cup of margarine could be healthy for you. Wow. Ok 1/2 cup divided by 4 servings. That\'s still 1/8 of a cup, that\'s still a lot. Eek. But otherwise the recipe sounds good.
