There is a vegan meetup group in Roanoke that meets once a month for potlucks and does local activism. vegan.meetup.com/434/ Open to anyone interested, vegan or not.

It is very sad that Eden's Way had to close their doors. However, one can still find some vegan fare at Nawab Indian Cuisine and The Thai Restaurant in downtown. Both menus have a good selection of vegetarian dishes and a decent selection of vegan options. Both restaurants are very tasty!

I would give Gillies another try. It definitely has a very rustic atmosphere, not a fancy place by far, but the food is very delicious. They have all vegetarian food and several vegan selections. My husband, son & I just went there this past weekend for their Brunch, Mmmm Good!!
