I currently live in TN and have to 2.5 years now. And I love it! There is always so much to do. I would suggest going downtown to Robert's if you want to listen to some good old school country...I hate country music but I love this place! Any other kind of music you want to listen to you can surely find playing at tons of places every night.

As for good eats...there are plenty. Great sushi places offering some pretty good variety of veggie rolls...particularly Ginza and Sonobana. Also I would check out Anatolia (a turkish restuarant) for great soup and hummus. Not many all veg places, but plenty of restuarants that are veg-friendly for sure.
