I visited this city last year, staying for three days while on a road trip with my husband. While there we went to several jazz/blues clubs. We had a difficult time finding things to eat...however, we did find some nice places. We ate at a little mexican place called Molly's La Casita, I would drive back to Memphis from PA anyday for their VEGETARIAN refried-beans, delish! On a non-food related note, Memphis was not as happening as I expected. There seems to be no real CENTER OF TOWN, like one would find in Philadelphia, instead they have a street. Sorry Memphis, you weren't my favorite city.

Memphis offers some great things to do as well as good restuarants. Jasmines is definitely one of the better places to eat. Also just drive downtown, park your car anywhere near Beale street and just start walking. Beale street is fantastic. Every corner has a different blues or jazz club and there is always live music playing. the are also the typical great souvenirs places all along there. If you are brave enough to hit the town during the Beale Street Music festival you won't be sorry....is it normally towards the beginning of May.

Even if you aren't there during the music festival you can always catch some great live music...and don't forget...Graceland. A pretty interesting time will always be had visitng the Late Great Elvis' home. It great just too see his decorating tast at the time. Not too expensive, but well worth the visit.
