Just wanted to tell New York folks--or surrounding states folks--about Catskill Animal Sanctuary in the Hudson Valley, a must-stop for any animal lover/veggie. It's a 100-acre haven for farm animals who have been abused or abandoned, and in addition to getting to meet the 150 or so residents, visitors can take advantage of excellent resources, including written materials, veggie cooking classes and demos, special events, speakers, etc., all geared toward helping people change the way they think about farm animals and choose compassion.
