Vistor Notes:
Subject: 'Off the Wall'
Posted by Guest on: Monday, September 26, 2005 at 09:56 AM PST
note
So now you're in Buffalo everyone is demanding you eat a chicken wing. Have it both ways at Off the Wall, which is much more pleasant than Frank and Theresina's, and offers scrumptious eggplant wings (yum!). The place also sells unique artwork and is a bar, the downside is that its a little overpriced. Elmwood Avenue.

Subject: 'Tandoori's'
Posted by Guest on: Monday, September 26, 2005 at 09:54 AM PST
note
Tandoori's is a little out of Buffalo but is absolutely the best option for vegetarians and vegans in the area. The food is traditional Indian cuisine, northern and southern. The owners are committed vegetarians who will reassure you of your every concern about ingredients, the food is the best ever, and they even bring you a rose. A little pricey, but totally worth the splurge for a special occasion. Located on Transit Road in Williamsville, near Maple.

Subject: 'Falafel Bar'

note
Falafal Bar on Elmwood Avenue is great, and cheap. Although they serve traditonal meat-based food, like kibbee, they have amazing falafel.

Subject: 'Jasmine Restaurant'
Posted by Guest on: Monday, September 26, 2005 at 09:51 AM PST
note
Jasmine's on Niagra Falls Blvd and Maple has a great vegetarian menu, even meat eaters love the tofu pad thai.

Subject: 'Lexington Co-op'
Posted by Guest on: Monday, September 26, 2005 at 09:50 AM PST
note
The Lexington Co-Op, now on Elmwood, has plenty of fresh vegan prepared foods, also meat substitutes, organics, etc.

Back to Buffalo Vegetarian Restaurants & Health Food Store Listings

Please help us improve this site...
Here, at HappyCow's Vegetarian Guide to vegetarian restaurants and health food stores, we strive to bring the most accurate information on Vegetarian Restaurant and Health Food Store listings to the internet. This site is made by vegetarian travelers for travelers (mostly), and we know how it is to travel across a new town in search of vegetarian food only to find that the restaurant no longer exists.  We also know that some of the Vegetarian Restaurants and Health Food Stores already posted might be out-of-date, and we apologize for that.
