Places with veg options on their menus are few in the Cedar Rapids area. You can get a grilled cheese at almost any restaurant in town, but most will not even have a veg patty or salad without meat available. Vegan choices are very limited. Good options downtown are Little King sub shop (the owner is vegetarian, breads are all vegan) and Blend (have a note on their menu that they cater to special diets on request and always create great dishes). Elsewhere in town there are some of chains with good veg options (Genghis Grill, Pancheros) and a few ethnic restaurants (Taste of India, Ting's Red Lantern).

Although there are no vegetarian restaurants here, almost all restaurants have vegetarian options on the menu that are more exciting than just a salad. All of the Asian restaurants offer multiple vegetarian dishes, and there is an Indian restaurant with a mostly vegetarian buffet. Many of the cafes and delis have variations on vegetarian sandwiches and veggie burgers.
We also have two Health Food Stores, Wheatsfields on Douglas Ave. and John's Natural Health on 5th.
