Iowa City is a great place to get great food and though it's not vegan or vegetarian, the Motley Cow Café (327 E. Market St.) is my absoluet favourite place to eat while I'm there (if not one of my favourite places to eat anywhere). They have a great small seasonal menu which always has vegetarian options and if you tell them you're vegan they happily accomodate you. They try to get as many ingredients as possible from local, organic sources. The place is small, warm, and cozy, the staff is wonderful, and I've never had something I haven't absolutely loved. Unfortunately, they do have red meat on their menu at times so Happy Cow can't list them.
