Friends of ours live in Haiku, and we were fortunate to have had the chance to visit them. It's a totally laid back kind of place with lots of trees and greens, horses and pet/farm animals grazin on lawns, small windy roads with great forest views, some ocean view, and mellow living -- without all the business of main areas of Maui.

The food is delicious however the owners do not use organic produce at all.

Veg Out is NOT organic. They are illegally mislabeling their salads. I know the source of their greens and they are not certified organic. This has been brought to the owners' attention but they refuse to change their sign. This is blatant deception. I boycott this restaurant because the owners lie. No other items are labeled organic except the mixed salad greens. Most of the food, such as tomatoes, come from Costco and are no way organic. Veg Out does not support local certified organic farmers. Worse, they mislabel and lie.
