If you can stand the stench of the beef poo gumbo they serve nearby, get a reservation for this place early in the day. Ask for the veggie menu. If they insist they don’t have one, ask to speak to another waiter (I’ve run across a few who didn’t seem to know it existed) The choices on it are limited, but the only completely vegan option, THE PORTABELLO MUSHROOM STEAK, IS THE GREATEST THING I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE!!! $15ish for lunch includes all you can eat bread (ask for olive oil and vinegar to put on it) and garlic mashed potatoes and black eyed pea relish. YYYUUUMMM!!! Dinner is a bit more, but you get a great salad and steamed veggies too. Split it, it’s huge! Plus, you get to eat inside of pirates of the Caribbean. How great.
