I found Oaxaca an easy city to eat vegatarian, vegan. If you want a meal completely vegan, its not impossible as most people would have you believe, you just need to ask without cheese, cream and mayonese (just to cover you bases). There are a lot of foreigners in Oaxaca as its a popular tourist spot so finding a restaurant with a varied (as well as regional) menu is not hard and its definately not impossible to eat vegan.
