note
Jamaica is very vegetarian friendly because Rastafarians are vegetarian. Their type of food is called Ital, a word derived from the word "vital". Ital cooking uses natural and organic ingredients, and is basically vegan with the exception of honey used in some Ital dishes.

note
Royal Kitchen, in the cliffs on the road between the beach and Rick's Cafe( near Hotel Samsara)
Excellent vegan food. All local vegetables grown and prepared by Errol,a charming Rastafarian. Eat there or he'll deliver to your hotel.
He will accomodate to all your needs.

Back to Jamaica Vegetarian Restaurants & Health Food Store Listings

Please help us improve this site...
Here, at HappyCow's Vegetarian Guide to vegetarian restaurants and health food stores, we strive to bring the most accurate information on Vegetarian Restaurant and Health Food Store listings to the internet. This site is made by vegetarian travelers for travelers (mostly), and we know how it is to travel across a new town in search of vegetarian food only to find that the restaurant no longer exists.  We also know that some of the Vegetarian Restaurants and Health Food Stores already posted might be out-of-date, and we apologize for that.

Get involved! Whether you are at home or traveling, please contribute to this site!
