If you want something a bit more local, the restaurant/canteen in the big department store (Cave Shepherd,?)in Bridgetown do a buffet with lots of vegetarian options very cheaply. The main problem with eating local food though is that, apart from macaroni pie, it's just vegetables, and maybe rice.

On the none-Bajan cooking front, the Waterfront cafe in Bridgtown has vegetarian options, and it's a nice place to hang out.

Bert's in Rockley do deliciously cheesy pizzas!

we found alot of veggie choices here besides the usual pasta and curries that most restaurants in barbados have to offer. for example peppers stuffed with cheese & mushrooms, sweet potato pie with christophene and pumpkin. The prices here are very affordable and the satff were very knowledgeable and helpful offering options as well. we even met the head chef! it is at the start of st. lawrence gap overlooking the sea in a nice ambiance
