First of all, Happy Cow used to have a listing for this place but doesn't anymore. ? . Anyway, I went there while I was in a rush and just franticly ordered. I ended up with a rice bowl which includes brown basmati rice, some tofu, some steamed veggies and a sauce of your choice. I chose tamari ginger. First off I didn't like the steamed veggies. The combination of steamed cabbage (hell on the guts), steamed beets and steamed carrots didn't taste good to me. The tofu was very plain. The sauce turned me off. So I'd say this rice bowl wasn't a winning dish. Later on I had a crispy fried tofu dish with brown basmati rice and some more steamed veggies. I think I had a curry sauce. Needless to say I wasn't into the veggies. The sauce was good but the tofu confused me. It wasn't crispy fried but covered in some peanut butter sauce stuff. Not bad but not awesome either. It left me puzzled. ? . I finished up with 2 monster chocolate chip cookies. Sadly they were hard as rocks. I ate them anyway and once I got to the center where it was soft and chewy I could tell they were good. Must have been a day or two old. I hope. The decor was flighty. Pots hanging from the ceiling along with multi color fabrics. A bald girl served me and she was just awesome. The decor in the bathroom was pretty funky too. It's kind of hard to find though (The café it's self and the bathroom in the café). I'd say overall good value but I won't be trying anything other than maybe a wrap from here in the future. St. George's square behind bank of montreal.
