Although I live in Toronto, Cafe Calactus is my favourite restaurant vegetarian or not. I've eaten there twice and was blown away by the food and service. Presentation was amazing. On a beautiful summer day it was so nice sitting on their small patio near the train tracks, great food, cold beer, good company. Loved it. What really stands out way this amazing vegan parfait I had for dessert. SUPER!!!

Café Calactus is fantastic. They also serve an excellent micro-brewery beer called Propeller (made in Nova Scotia I believe). Other places to check out in Moncton - the Farmers Markets Saturday mornings in downtown, and the new Dandelion Organic Grocery in Dieppe. All of the Superstores (grocery stores) in the area also have excellent selection of vegan/vegetarian and organic foods (including prepared meals).

I love Calactus! I've been there several times--it's the best place in town to eat. The food is so fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is lovely, and the servers are friendly. Their homemade unleavened breads are incredible. I'd give it 5 carrots!
