Leicester is vegetarian heaven, so many restaurants to choose from, particularly in Belgrave Road

Subject: Visiting Paisley?
If you are vegetarian and looking for veg friendly places in Paisley I can suggest two places:

Multan Tandoori (Indian restaurant, serves meat and fish)- 5 George Street, Paisley Tel. 0141 889 4426

Opening Hours:

Monday - Friday 12:00 noon - 2:00pm and 5:00pm - 1:00am
Friday - Saturday 12noon - 2:00pm and 5:00pm - 1:00am, Sunday 4:00pm - Midnight

This is the only restaurant I know of which serves Quorn curry options. They will adapt any option on their extensive menu to be vegetarian. The naans are huge (the way they should be!).

Thai Siam at 25 Lawn Street Paisley PA1 1HD, Tel: 0141 848 0885 serves meat and fish but does great tofu and vegetable options. www.thaisiamglasgow.com/thai-siam-menu/78-paisley-menus.html

Subject: Visting Salford Quays?
At Salford Quays there is a rather limited vegetarian and vegan choice. We found that in the Lowry Outlet Mall there is a veg-friendly place called "Tandoori delights" which offers great value for money vegetarian curry; 3 options available including vegetable options or chick pea options. It is £5 for a curry with a drink, rice, naan, salad and sauce (mango chutney or chilli) and spicy onions.

There is also a convenience store in the basement of the centre which cooks freshly made pizza and curry (although we did not sample this so can't vouch for the veg friendliness of it)

The Imperial War Museum cafe has vegetarian options, and took off the vegetarian sign from one salad when I pointed out that parmesan cheese is not vegetarian. The Lowry had tofu noodles on its menu when we visited.
