Subject: Vegan movie theatre....well, kinda
The Landmark Centry Centre cinema at 2828 North Clark St (Clark & Diversey) in Chicago has vegan cookies! They\\\'re made by the Alternative Baking Company and I\\\'m telling ya, they\\\'re outstanding. I can personally vouch for the peanut butter chocolate chip. They show independent films and some foreign lanuage cinema. (773) 509-4949

Subject: Masala Jack's
Masala Jack's
356 Indiana Boundary Rd
Chesterton, IN 46304
219-926-9877
* Exit 26A off of I-94

Not worthy of a HappyCow listing even in northwest Indiana, if you find yourself in town for more than a few days it's worth knowing about their veggie burger, vegetable samosas and veggie burrito. This is a fast food restaurant (no drive thru).

Hours: Sun-Thurs 11am-9pm; Fri & Sat 11am-10pm

An Italian restaurant, Lucrezia is not worthy of its own listing on HappyCow due to its lack of veg*n entrees; however, if you are in the area for more than a few days and are looking for options it's worth a stop.

As a vegan, I load up on the different starters they offer to go with their bread: kalamata olives, eggplant and carmelized onion spread, roasted red pepper pesto, salsa cruda, whole roasted garlic and olive oil. Also try the bruschetta with tomato and basil. The house salad is vegan as is the Cucumber, Tomato and Red Onion Salad. They have a number of good vegetarian salads that can be made vegan such as their Mixed Greens with Poached Pear salad (hold the gorgonzola) and Tomato and Pine Nuts salad (hold gorgonzola).

They have Fettucine Alfredo and Pasta Primavera, but for an Italian place they do a terrible job of providing veg entrees.

- Steamboat Springs, 2011/04/14
Subject: Good Sushi/Thai Restaurant
If you like vegetable sushi or thai food, a great new place that opened in Steamboat Springs is called Sambi Cafe, 941 Lincoln Ave. Phone 970-870-9988. Service was excellent, friendly staff. They'll take special orders so u can get your vegetable sushi with whatever you want in it. You can get tofu instead of meat in any of the dishes. I just didn't feel they went above and beyond to cater to vegan customers, so I didn't submit this place for a standard restaurant listing on Happy Cow.

- Petoskey, 2010/08/15
Subject: veg-friendly hotel
When staying in the Petoskey/Harbor Springs area, I highly recommend the Best Western in Harbor Springs (not to be confused with the Best Western in Petoskey). The one in Harbor Springs is at 8514 M-119. Phone 231-347-9050.

It is family-owed. The couple who owns it, the wife is a vegetarian. As such, there is no meat served with breakfast. They have two waffle irons going, cereal, toast, bagels, fruit cups, but no disgusting hot sausage links. Also, the rooms are very nice, clean, quiet and it's a great location right between Petoskey and Harbor Springs.
