More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I never have been a big meat eater and I just feel so much more healthier eating a vegan diet. I cannot abide the way animals are bred solely for food, I believe that every living thing deserves some quality of life, it is their entitlement.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I LOVE talking to like minded people (and unlikeminded people too).
I am very passionate about veganism and animal rights and could talk about it all day.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Well, I'm not that well traveled, been all over Europe and I'm currently living in Spain which I'm enjoying for the time being. Some places I would love to travel to include South America and India.
My favoutite place in the world has to be my home counties of Somerset and Dorset - I'm a true West Country girl at heart.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Marmite - you either love it or hate it and I absolutely LOVE it! Great source of vitamin B12.
Home made seitan,
Smoked Tofu,
Bean Sprouts,
Avocado
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Titanic, The Wizard of Oz, The Green Mile, Billy Elliot, Withnail and I, Harold and Maude, Bad Boy Bubby,V for Vendetta
Books:
Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy - The Trilogy of Four, Illusions: Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Angela's Ashes, Teachings of Don Juan, Chocolat, Yoga School Drop Out
TV:
Bagpuss, Mighty Boosh, Southpark

It was in a "Vegetarian Times"
I read about the directory in a Vegetarian Times, but have not seen it since. The magazine was not mine, nor have I seen one since. If you have it, or can look them up online or at a library, it was the issue where Happy Cow was listed along with the other directory (as was my fave bakery Sweetpea) in the 40 or 50 or 25 top things to know about to make Veg life easier. I just searched their site to no avail, but give it a shot. If I talk to the folks who had the mag, I'll definitely get that info to you. Likewise, if you find it, let me know too.
Hope you're well. |
