More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Because it's animal and planet friendly. Also, because it has to be the healthiest way to eat.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Because it is a very cool site. Plus it gives you a chance to correspond with like minded people.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
New Orleans,LA, Las Vegas are the big two that I've been. I'd love to visit Fiji one day.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Greek salad, tofu and veggie kebabs, mixed baby greens, raw corn, raw asparagus, raw peas, chickpeas or any bean, veggie burgers, pretty much any veggie.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
My favourite books are Vegan Planet, by Robin Robertson, Passionate Vegetarian by Crescent Dragonwagon and Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew. If you like to cook the first two are great and the third book is a whole new concept for the gardener. My all time favourite movie is Gone With the Wind. Favourite novel is To Kill a Mockingbird.

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe it has been a year since I have been on Happy Cow. How are you doing? And how is the grandbaby?

Hey Buddy, I cannot believe it has been this long since we chatted. How is everything? Things are fine here. The weather is starting to warm up. YEAH! Time to tend the garden and fight off rabbits and deer.

Well, I am glad the damage was not too bad. I think it is 1 gallon = 3.78 liters. The highest we saw here was $5.43 a gallon which would be about $1.43 a liter. Some of our gas stations refused to buy the gas at the ridiculous prices they were being charged. So they closed. They went on the news to let everyone know that they were not going to price gouge like some of the other stations.

Well, take care and talk to you later
