More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
There are lots of reasons to be a vegetarian but, more than anything else, it seems like an ethical obligation. Even though I grew up in Kansas and Texas, even though I loved meat and hated vegetables for most of my life and even though it can be inconvenient at times when abroad, it seems that anyone who has had to confront the issue, and is a kind person, is bound to be a vegetarian. Why cause such suffering when it's not necessary? For me, "because it tastes good" is not a sufficient answer.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I travel a lot and since I occasionally use HappyCow, it seemed like a good idea to try and give something back. There's nothing more exciting than discovering a good vegetarian restaurant in a foreign land.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I've been lucky to have traveled extensively in my life. It'd be nearly impossible to pick a favorite country but my favorite city has to be Hong Kong. It's a beautiful mix of two of my favorite cultures and a true world city.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Salt & Pepper Tofu, Channa Masala, Rice & Bean Burritos and much, much more!
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
