More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I don't believe we were ever meant to eat anything but a plant based diet. Numerous studies have shown that people who consume flesh die of heart disease, cancer, diabeties and many, many other ailments. Eating a plant based diet ensures a good control of your weight, health and longevity. Vegan's do not die of heart disease or cancer.... what is there to think about?
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I was asked to! But this is a great networking avenue and I hope to meet a lot of like minded people! Also, I'd love to promote my radio show WAKE UP AMERICA at:
http://www.globaltalkradio.com/shows/wakeupamerica
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I love where I am now... Northern Arizona, at 7,400 feet - elk and deer and antelope running around my back yard. It's a little bit of heaven here on earth!
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Too many to mention! :)
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
My book, of course, The Fast Food Craze, Wreaking Havoc on Our Bodies and Our Animals.... Animal Gospel, by Andrew Linzey, Mad Cowboy, by Howard Lyman, Diet for a New America, John Robbins, The Food Revelation, also by John Robbins, The Pig Who Sang To The Moon, by Jeffrey Masson. That's a great start!

Hi Tina - I am looking forward to hearing your interview with Peta's Dam Mathews - do you know Robert Cohen? - his site is notmilk.com - Robert is a very vocal opponent of milk consumption / addiction - perhaps you could do a show with him? - Robert Cohen, author of: MILK A-Z

Hey hd1lady
Wow, it's so cool to hear that you live in Northern Arizona. I loved Flagstaff and Sedona when I visited some years ago. So much nature and spirit and peace and beauty! Would you like to send a copy of your book to HappyCow for review? HappyCow can help you promote your book on this website. Anywho, just email. Ciao. |
