Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
overall health and well-being. I started my journey on going vegan in Oct 2009 and am now a certified nutrition consultant in the SF Bay Area. I currently follow a eating style that is low-fat whole-food and plant-based and my passion is trying new recipes that fit this criteria.

I've been using HappyCow for over a year and am rarely disappointed with the restaurants I've found on this site. I like reading comments from other users and tips on what to try and what to avoid.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Love Millennium in SF. Also Candlelight 79 in NYC and Tibits in London. And just found Adama in Santa Barbara.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I make a green smoothie every morning for breakfast; I love a creamy mushroom lasagna, vegan chili, cabbage-pineapple salad and chocolate-avocado mousse
