More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
to lessen my impact on the environment, to keep myself healthy, to support local farmers and businesses, to stop animal cruelty

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
to discover great places to eat/shop, and to tell others about my favourites

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
my favourite places in the world: Hangzhou, China Shanghai, China Holbox, Mexico Chiapas (especially Palenque), Mexico Merida, Mexico La Napoule, France Montpellier, France Cannes, France Iowa City, IA Santa Barbara, CA Miami (and Key Biscayne), FL Missoula (and Flathead Lake), MT Lausanne, Switzerland London, England airports (other than LAX and MIA) Hayward Gallery, London, England Motley Cow Café, Iowa City, IA Gong Fu Tea, Des Moines, IA Aroma Café, Studio City, CA under my covers the beach with my cats

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
my dad's vegan blackberry pie (made with fresh picked blackberries!), jicama salad, mango, watermelon, red peppers, papaya salad, falafel, trader joe's vanilla soy protein powder, hummus, veggie stir fry, celery, rosé, green salad, asparagus, grapefruit, dr. praeger's tex mex veggie burgers, mushrooms, tea, fresh (not fried) spring rolls, wildwood tofu burgers, quinoa, cauliflower, oranges, bragg's liquid aminos, pomegranate, strawberries, avacado, blueberries, double decaf sugar free vanilla soy cappuccino extra dry

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
