Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
My reason for becoming Veggie-Raw was due to health problems. It began with migraine headaches and the dr wanted to medicate me, i was unable to function at work with the medications, so, i decided to find out what was causing them and found i was allergic to most of the foods i was eating. My headaches went away and others things too, like my stomach and GI problems, i was getting more engery, even my eye prescription changed (not claiming that diet helped but it could be) i lost weight, my back problems went away and so many other health problems... why i chose a Veggie life??? i now think why didn't i do it sooner!
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
i lived in northern california for several years and then moved to philadelphia their i found a great community of veggie-rawies and i was encouraged to learn more and educate others about the life. i was raise in southern cal and came back home to care for my parents and sister.. they are meat lovers... they believe that if a breakfast, lunch or dinner plate doesn't have a slab of meat on it than it's not a meal... i can't believe that i too was once like that.. anyway, i needed support and perhaps new ways in sneaking in a veggie meal to these people.. i do love them really i do :)
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
i love Follow Your Heart, Juliano's Raw and Taste of the Goddess Cafe. i've traveled to NY, NJ, PA, DC. I would like to travel Europe ... I'm not sure if i answered this question correctly ... i guess i will update it later.
