More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
From an online game (Super Chick Sisters) that I played in April '09, I stumbled upon PETA vids on how chickens are raised. Initially I said that I wouldn't eat KFC again. A week hadn't gone by before I cut out chicken entirely and meat went out probably an hour later. I began wondering about EVERYTHING that I consumed and I realized that I put little to no thought into my diet. Within a month of playing Super Chick Sisters I was a vegan and I've felt amazing ever since. I now am leaning toward becoming a raw vegan.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I'd like to connect with people with similar sentiments. The site is also full of great information that kept me engaged.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I visited California many times before becoming veg and I loved it. I'd like to return so that I can try the many veg restaurants that I noticed while there.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Homemade green smoothies, hummus, falafel, and veggie nachos.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Brendan Brazier's "Thrive" was a great read and I'd recommend it to any athlete whether vegan or not.
