More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I never knew why I suddenly decided age 6 to stop eating meat but for me being vegetarian was totally natural, I must have been a yogi in a past life! Over the years I have become more and more aware of eating healthy truth is i just love fruits and vegetables. I made the transition to being dairy free 2 years ago after educating myself more about animal welfare.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I'm fed up of going to restaurants and there is never a good meat and dairy free option or if there is it is not healthy I want to be able to go to a restaurant and be able to pick anything off the menu not just to 1 option! Also I am the only 1 of my friends who is meat and dairy free and its great to know there are more of us out there!!
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I love love love to travel one of my favourite places is North Thailad I spent some time doing some volunteer work in a little village away from the tourist trail it was amazing and the food incredible, also in Bangkok I located a wonderful vegan/vegetarian place called ethos after spending a year eating oily/msg laden foods in China it was a god send!I recommend it to everyone! My favourite museum/temple is the temple of heaven in Beijing as soon as I stepped in the park I just got a beautiful feeling all over me watching everyone singing, dancing, playing cards and the temple itself was beautiful. I want to visit everywhere so my next plan is to WWOOF around the world my first stop is in Nepal in a couple of weeks time!
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Where do I even start? I adore sweet potatoes and falafel, love all veg, and have discovered a new love in the form of tempeh.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Every word I have read by Paulo Coelho inspires me, especially after reading the pilgrimage. I like watching documentary's and I found 'the beautiful truth' very interesting.
