Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I do not want to contribute to or participate in cruelty and suffering. Animals are here on this planet for their own purpose, not to be exploited by humans just because we can or solely for our taste buds, fashion or entertainment needs.

I have been using Happy Cow since 2004. It was time to start writing reviews of all the restaurants I have visited.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I love all fruits, vegetables, nuts, seed, legumes and mushrooms. There really isn't anything I do not like. I love being surprised by the chef.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
The China Study, Slaughterhouse and any cookbook from Colleen Patrick-Goudreau of www.compassionatecook.com. All of her cook books are easy to follow with really tasty recipes.
For travel guides...although not with a vegetarian influence I love the Wallpaper City Guides. They never disappoint when looking for that uniquie gallery, building, restaurant, museum or hotel.
