Nice Vegetarian-Friendly

More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
It started all out 4 years ago, and not for ethical reasons, I have to admit. I was sick, and medicines and doctors were not able to help my body to recover. My BF, fed up with my situation, investigated on the internet and this is how I became a vegan. In reality I am what is called Hygienist, I eat and drink only healthy food. The base is vegan, but I avoid coffees, teas, white flours, sugars etc. Suffering from deprivation? Not at all, I am back to life! I would not change this for anything in the world. Plus, I got to love animals and nature much more than before, I am more aware of what I am and why I got to this Planet Earth.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I became a vegan about 4 years ago, and I fell in love with this website, that really helps me in finding suitable food.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I love going around, I adore whatever is different from what I am. I go crazy for the WORLD. I have been mainly to Europe so far. I love London, Paris, Andalusia, Istanbul, Prague, Cairo. Next places... Canada, Australia, India, Far East, Middle East, South America, U.S. everywhere really.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I go crazy for lentils, hummus, fresh vegetables, whole grain pasta with a nice vegetable sauce. I do not like too rich dishes, simplicity is the key to taste and health.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
All books written by Shelton / Ehret. Also the China Study is good, def more modern and accessible. Louise Hay is a good reading. For Italian readers, all books written by Francesco Oliviero, Giuseppe Cocca, Marcello Pamio. The first two guys are doctors, the 3rd guy is a journalist. It is just amazing what they can teach us about how the body functions really, and about its self-healing ability, when fed in the proper way.
