Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I have traveled quite a bit throughout India (have an office there). What I love about it is that everywhere I've been, every restaurant has a sign that says, "Veg," "Non-Veg," or "Veg and non-Veg." If they are really serious they say "100% Veg." The food is great and the flavors are different in the many different regions. In some places they serve "meals." All you can eat served on a banana leaf.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I love Indian with Ethiopian being a close second. Then Thai, Vietnames, Latin.

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Just got a cookbook from the airport, of all places: Viva Vegan by Terry Hope Romero. This is Latin food: all the way from our border with Mexico through Tierra del Fuego. The recipes look exciting - things I've never heard of. I can't wait to get started with it.
