Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
For years I have battled with terrible acid reflux, heartburn and weight issues. Tried a vegan lifestyle and feel alive for the first time in years!! Also started realising how grim farming actually is, and how we are marketed products by corporations with no motive other than profit. Want to make a difference. Will influence others by example, not by dictation.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
To learn more and correspond with like minded individuals. Also because I know no other vegans \ vegetarians in my immediate circle. Could do with support and help at times.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Loved Switzerland. Love the Kruger National Park and Pilanesburg game reserves.
Looking forward to emmigrating to New Zealand (North Island) ASAP. Would like to go to Alaska one day.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Avocado. My absolute favourite is Avo. Other likes include Spinach and mushrooms. Really juicy apples and pears are also a favourite. Vegetable curries and Indian foods. Enjoying blending fresh juices.
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
Not sure yet. Read mostly food combining books like Fit for Life and Mary-Ann Shearer's the Natural way. Fast Food Nation was quite off putting as well.
Still want to read Quantum wellness.
