About: |
I work to travel and travel to work. I teach at international schools and love it! I get to go new places, learn new languages, eat new foods : ) I admit that sometimes I am not as careful a veggie as I could be.. but it can be hard in foreign countries. But I love to meet other veggies and hang out and travel... this year I want to learn to surf - anyone wanna join me?

More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
meat is flesh. yuck. nuf sed : ) I am happier.. hopefully healthier, doing what's right for the world and its a vital part of who I am. BUT I dont bash others for eating meat.. I dont think because I made this choice that it must be everyone's. It would be nice if it were... but people like bacon haha
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I travel a lot and its great to be able to know where I can eat veggie-friendly food when I show up. Also.. since I live internationally, its great to be able to find organic and veggie stores in different cities.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
love.. India, S.E asia - Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, Turkey, Syria, Israel and Egypt for the diving, Bali!!, Korea, Japan, Canada (my home base), Belgium (amazing beer and choclate haha), Romania (surprisingly good veggie pate in cans there)... where do I want to go? Oz and NZ to visit friends, Polynesia, South America... just hit it all eating beans and drinking wine, Nepal Tibet and Bhutan.. .ahhh too many places to go and not enough time off work : )
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
korean bibimbop! middle eastern food - falafel, hummous, baba ganoush. Thai - som tam minus the dried shrimp. Indian food Indian food Indian food!!
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
tassajara cookbooks, vegetarian express cookbook - rose elliot(great for beginners) vegetarian cooking for everyone - amazing cookbook!
