More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I have been a vegan for 21 years - a couple of years ago I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus and began eating raw. In four months the Lupus was totally undetectable! Good enough reason, huh?

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I am opening the first Raw Food Restaurant in Pinellas County, Florida! I am really excited to be adding myself to this great community!

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I've travelled a lot. I was a flight attendant and have been all over Europe. I've also lived in Nigeria for 3 months. I would love to go to Asia and particularly to India, China and Japan in the future! My favorite place in the US is Santa Fe, New Mexico! Love it there!

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
A good salad. I also love fresh, crispy red bell peppers and eat them like apples! I make a great Mediterranean Raw Pizza too!

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
I read several books each month. Most of what I have been reading lately is about the Ancient Vedic Principles of Vedanta. The Hindu philosophy is quite interesting and I encourage anyone who is a vegetarian to read about it!

I was 50 when they diagnosed me - I eat a raw diet of raw fruits and veggies nuts and seeds - it is under control without medicine. Also take vitamin D supplements and drink a LOT of distilled water.
