More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I was an aggressive and outspoken little punk while growing up and never hesitated to speak up for animals. As a compassionate advocate for animal rights , I was compelled to make changes in my life that would further their well-being. Always an on-and-off vegetarian, I finally made the leap a few years ago. I absolutely love it.

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
To find somewhere to eat. I can't cook so being vegan is extremely difficult, especially as a college student. But it's totally worth it.

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I'm afraid of flying so I haven't really been anywhere. But one day I'd like to go to Ireland. Or live in Canada (and fight those Seal hunting bastards).

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
I really love oatmeal! Really, I do. I can't cook for shit, but you can do almost anything with oatmeal. I also love Boca Burgers (the original vegan only). Almond Breeze is freakin AMAZING. I live on fruits and veggies. I can eat a whole watermelon in one sitting (seriously...)

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

flying
The first time i went on a plane,i was told all these scare stories about when the plane was taking off,it would start shaking and all of this.My brother was trying to scare me,the thing was he was actually really scared when we hit turbelance,it really did'nt bother me thankfully.

When you actually take off,it's a bit weird at first because you ascend really fast but once the plane gets up the right alltuide it's fine. The landing's can be a bit bumpy as well, sometimes the planes hits the runway with a lot of force. The other thing is turbelence,it really shakes the plane if you go into a storm system.Honestly, though 90percent of the time it's just really boring on the plane,if you can keep yourself occuiped then you'll be fine.

I'm also sorry for blabbering,it's kind of a thing i do,i hope that helps.

Re travel advice
I'm 22 and i have lived in ireland my whole life. The place i live in is called enniskerry,it's probaly on of the nicest places in ireland, but the crime rate is going up.The only country i've been to is mexico,i'm afraid i did'nt like it,i found getting vegetarian food quite difficult, especially at dinner, everything on the menu was meat, breakfast was okay though, especially when it was buffet.I would recommend you go to canada,it's culture is simlar to america and obviously the language won't be a problem, also getting vegan food should be relativly simple.Where would you like to go?
