Hi back
Luckily there are a ton of active vegan groups in NJ - for such a small state, too! For ex, Montclair vegan meetup...they were at a vegan meetup dinner I attended at Kaya's Kitchen recently, in Belmar...a Jersey/PA contingency from the Post Punk Kitchen Forum also showed. I think it's ppk.org ? Plus other vegan meetup groups. You can ask my friend Rachel referrals for specific areas in NJ: glyphinette@yahoo.com. Tell her Marcy sent you. (I think she is back in town on the 17th, in case there's a delay in reply.) There's also a small farm animal sanctuary in Blaristown NJ that some friends & I volunteer at, they do work & holiday parties with vegan potlucks after the volunteering part...the place is run by a vegan couple, also rescued cats & dogs around (sign up on website or on their facebook page for event invites): http://www.fortheanimalssanctuary.org/ The next work party is Oct. 10th 12-4, and their next fundraiser meal is at Veggie Heaven in Denville NJ on Sat. 10/24 1-3pm @ 57 Bloomfield Av. And of course you can check meetup.com for more vegan NJ & NY groups. - Marcy |
