Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I have been vegan for over twenty years. I feel great, sleep less than most people, and love the compassion that goes along with being vegan. I am also a huge environmentalist, and that was the first reason I became vegan, to lessen my impact on the environment.

This is a tremendous resource for finding great vegan restaurants around the world.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
San Francisco, Paris, New York (where I live now), Ithaca, NY, but would love to visit South America, Australia, Asia and Norway. I love traveling.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Fresh fruit local and in season, especially peaches, strawberries, mangoes, seitan and tempeh prepared well, chocolate anything, popcorn sprinkled with nutritional yeast, broccoli rabe, fresh corn on the cob, roasted beets, Daiya vegan cheese, Tofurky vegan sausage, oil-cured black olives, capers, lacinato kale, kale crisps, Chocolate Silk, chipotle salsa, Leahey cheese sauce, Viana Veggie Cevapcici
