Hello Veg*n Daters,

At the suggestion of Eric (HappyCow founder and administrator), I am initiating regular chat meet-up times for members of our group - starting *TONIGHT*!!!

For now, I am proposing that we meet in the HappyCow main chat room each Tuesday and Sunday from 7pm to 9pm Pacific. If after a couple of weeks folks decide that we should have more or different meet-up times, then we'll make that happen. Eric has also mentioned the possibility of having a chat room dedicated to our group so that is another future possibility. Come on in to chat, join in and let's get this party started!

It has now been a week since I added the above post and sent out the related e-mail. Since that time we have had three of the Veggie-Date chat meet-up's come & go. Sadly, there has only been a few folks join us for the chat meet-up's... I have to admit that I am surprised by the severe lack of involvement in this group considering that we have such a diverse and interesting mix of people who are members here!
Why do you (yes, YOU!, dear reader) think that this group is so inactive and perhaps more importantly, what can we (and by "we" I mean all of you who are members of this Veggie-Dating group) do to get folks more engaged and actively involved?

I eagerly await your replies!!!

I would love to join these chats, but where I live they are in the middle of the night. 7-9pm Pacific is 4-6am here.

You are not alone in that concern. Would you be willing and able to commit to joining in a regular Veggie-Dating chat meet-up day/time that works well for our friends in Europe? And then letting us here at the group know how it has been going? If you are up for that, just let me know what day/time works for you and I will add it to the list of meet-up times!

First the good news: We now have a dedicated "Singles"/Dating chat room!!!

This is where the Chat Meet-up's will continue at their scheduled times. So far, participation has been quite minimal sadly so please join in and help change this! Personally I missed the most recent chat and have not heard of anyone participating in it. I will also likely miss or only be present for parts of the meet-up's for the next couple of weeks. It would be really great if one or more members of this group could join in the chat, welcome any and all folks who stop by to participate & then post a message here to let us know how things went. Who will do this?
