I truly believe that even if you are introducing little things like non dairy milk (soy, almond, rice, etc.) and adding some veggies you are making a difference to your family and yourself.
I have been vegan for quite some time and my family has slowly come around and have started eating whole foods more often. I started creating meals that I knew my family would like and replaced the animal products with veg alternatives and its worked out really well.
