Solo Veg

I am the only Vegan in my family of four. It is a lot harder than I thought it wold be. I think they are slowly following me but I don't like to feed my kids what I won't eat...Anyone else?

Have mock versions of milk and dairy been tried? If you do the groceries then you can select those items.

I forgot to say that no on eats dairy because it makes my son C-R-A-Z-Y. So it's just the meat and I worry about giving my little ones (especially my girl) too much soy because of the estrogen.

Hi,

I truly believe that even if you are introducing little things like non dairy milk (soy, almond, rice, etc.) and adding some veggies you are making a difference to your family and yourself.

I have been vegan for quite some time and my family has slowly come around and have started eating whole foods more often. I started creating meals that I knew my family would like and replaced the animal products with veg alternatives and its worked out really well.

Also, for inspiration (and facts) I enjoy listening to the compassionate cooks podcast (www.compassionatecooks.com)
