We face [macho] people (who have beer-meat bellies) making fun of us and our choice of nutrition. They say with a look of disgust, "No, thanks." or "I hate tofu.", without even trying the meal.
So I've been cooking and not announcing to anyone that my panini mozzarella veggie sandwich has melted soy mozzarella from Trader Joe's (yum). Nor do I tell them that the sausage in the spaghetti with meat marinara is vegan protein. And they haven't a clue they're eating tofu pesto ricotta on my pizzas with rice and soy cheeses. I have not heard one complaint, and the food disappears quick.
So I conclude these folks are mental and insult our vegan food because deep down they know how bad it is to eat the polluted foods they eat. I know when I eat animal foods I feel like an unhealthy animal. It's not a mystery. The secret weapon I have is vegan cookbooks (Like "Vegan with a Vengeance" by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Internet recipes. If you cook it they will eat.
